Dubai Parrot Talk

Welcome to Dubai Parrot Talk

Set up in early 2003, Dubai Parrot Talk was a group of parrot lovers/enthusiasts living in Cairo, Egypt who wanted to promote welfare and conservation issues of all parrots in Egypt either wild or captive. Amanda Anderson, the founder of the website has since moved to Dubai and is supporting parrot owners in the Emirates.

Dear Parrot Owner,

Please enjoy this website, the information given is of a supportive nature only. Need further advice please call 050 8717073. If your parrot is showing any ill signs, ie weeping eyes or nose, starts plucking, discontinues eating/drinking etc, please contact your nearest Veterinary Clinic, I highly recommend The Veterinary Hospital (www.vet-hosp.com) in Dubai for all your avian needs. And remember "a destructive parrot is a happy parrot."

Regards

Amanda

Parrot Welfare in Dubai

Whether wild or captive we want to help parrots to be looked after correctly when in human care and slow down, if not stop, the illegal trade of parrots. This can be done through awareness campaigns and educating the people living in the Emirates to the conservation issues of parrots; especially Congo African Greys and hopefully giving a better future to these wonderful animals.

Please also take the time to visit The World Parrot Trust site, which endeavours to help parrots in captivity and help maintain parrots in the wild....
